You have been an integral part of my team and success as a pro!! I can't thank you enough for all of your support, care, and love!!

My manager J.M. Manion, Fitness Management Group (FMG). You believed in me and put all of your support in me, I cannot thank you enough for all the love and fun we have had and for what the future brings!! Soooo....mr. techy...hahah!! Thanks to you and Debbi for all that you do!!

My family, friends, and clients, you have all been sooo supportive of me and of this sport!! It has been a crazy road at times but you put up with me and I can't thank all of you enough!!

HOW I GOT STARTED:

I have always been involved in sports and graduated college with a degree in Exercise Science and Athletic Training. I worked for a number of years with athletes and started to miss being competitive myself. I had always worked out and stayed in shape but needed to apply all that training to something and have a focus.

Fitness competition was the answer that I was looking for. I fell in love with the sport and the beauty of the physiques of the girls involved. I decided that I would try a local NPC competition and entered my first show as a figure competitor in July 2001. I placed 3rd in the short class and I was hooked. I then decided to try my hand at fitness and started training for the routine.

I found that I was always strong in the physique rounds but the routine round was where I fell short in. I had a hard time with the gymnastics aspect of it all. The last show that I competed in fitness I was thrilled when I wound up winning the overall figure and took first in my class in fitness, but tore the heck out of my calf!

I decided that I would stick to figure after that and I am glad that I did!! It has taken me to another level both mentally and physically!! I am a much stronger person in both regards and feel the empowerment to do whatever drives me!!

ABOUT ME:

Hobbies: Besides being a fitness nut:) I love to read--anything that I can get my hands on...from fiction to the latest trend in fitness and nutrition!! I also enjoy cooking, I like to experiment with recipes and test them out on my poor friends!! Arizona offers a lot of opportunities to be outdoors and I love to go hiking. I  have hiked many trails in Sedona, the Grand Canyon (down and up the Bright Angel trail in 61/2 hours!!), the Superstitions, etc. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Favorite Diet Food:  My oatmeal and almond butter :)

Favorite Cheat Food: Umm....almond butter..haha!! No...Kobe Beef Sliders (ask Michelle Adams what we chowed on after the AC 2007..haha)

Favorite Color: Blue.

Favorite Music: I love all types of music and can appreciate most music!!

Favorite TV Shows:
Nip/Tuck, CSI, 24, Foodtwork Channel...I know...kind of nerdy but I get addicted esp. when I am dieting...pure torture!

Favorite Saying: Want to know how to make God laugh? Tell him your plans!! :) I heard this the other day and thought it was so true!! Another favorite of mine is: Mediocrity knows nothing higher then itself, but genius instantly recognizes talent!!

Why I love fitness:
I love fitness for many reasons. Fitness is a lifestyle for me, it keeps me looking good aesthetically, but it also keeps me strong in my mind as well as body. I have a focus and a drive when I am fit and healthy.
